Have you ever purchased a print or painting on canvas online and when it arrives you take it out of the tube and wonder, "Well how do I hang this?". First, you will need to have your canvas stretched over wooden stretcher bars. At Frameworks Picture Framing Studio Scottsdale, we keep 2 size stretcher bars in stock to ensure a speedy turn around time. One is .75" deep, an appropriate size for adding a custom frame to your new canvas. The other is 1.5" deep, which achieves a awesome "gallery" look. A float or canvas frame can be added for an extra design element to bring out the best in your canvas and interior. Contact us today to have your new canvas stretched and framed.

Often vibrant and striking, designer scarves can be custom framed to make an interesting and notable piece of wall art. We recently had the opportunity to frame various scarves by Lacroix and Mantero. These silk scarves have been hand stitched to a black linen mat that lets the visual content of the scarf "pop" and grab a passerby's attention. We worked with the client to pick out the perfect custom frames that bring out the best in the art and compliment the other interior furnishings where they are to be hung. No tapes or glues have been used, preserving the value and wear-ability of the scarves. You name it, Frameworks can frame it! Contact us today for any of your framing needs.
We recently had the opportunity to laser engrave some cork coasters with the island of Puerto Rico, as well as two petroglyphs (rock art) that can be found on the island. One featuring the sun, and the other featuring a small frog called the "Coqui" which is native to the island. The laser engraving contrasted very nicely with the raw cork coasters. We have the ability to custom engrave a wide variety of surfaces such as wood, glass, leather, stone, and much more. Custom engraved objects make great gifts! Contact Us today for more information. Make it a great day!

What a difference in appearance dry mounting had on this signed Rhonda Rousey photo! Severely wrinkled at first, it was quite harsh on the eyes. But after a dry mount, looking good! Dry mounting is a process that uses a heat activated tissue to permanently affix a photo, print, etc to foam board. It is sometimes used to take out wrinkles or creases that may be unattractive. Dry mounting also ensures a print will lay completely flat and prevent sagging over time. A dry mount is recommended for damaged prints, large prints, and commercial framing jobs. We do recommend conservation mounting objects of value as dry mounting will have a negative effect on worth.
At Frameworks, we have the ability to laser engrave a variety of materials such as wood, glass, stone, and leather. We recently engraved our logo on a solid piece of oak for our outdoor signage and it turned out awesome! We can engrave your design or logo on custom panels for your home or office, as well as objects such as glasses, bottles, humidors, wallets, coasters, the list goes on. We recently had the opportunity to frame a signed Mike Tyson photo of the nostalgic Nintendo Game "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!" We went with a floated "Mike Tyson" matboard banner, a matboard peel stating he is waiting for your challenge, and a suede matboard "Punch-Out!!" inlay above the photo. We spliced blue suede and black suede for the top mat and used a red paper bottom mat to contrast the photo. It turned out AWESOME and is a great example of the types of unique matting we can do here at Frameworks Picture Framing Studio. Our favorite boxer feature in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out would have to be Soda Popinski. Who was your favorite?
A canvas framed with a floater frame (also known as tray frames, canvas frames, and L-frames) has a very strong and clean look. Here are some projects we have recently completed using floater frames. The canvas appears to be floating within the frame, hence the name "floater frame". Floater frames are available in a wide variety of sizes, colors, and finishes. Definitely one of our favorite looks! Contact Frameworks to frame your next canvas.
